The Bravest Thing You Could Ever Be

And I, when left to my own devices

Can hardly breathe

I gave myself a moment today to take the world in

And required conscious effort

To allow my chest to rise and fall

So valiantly, he did

Yet with such strain.

In the end, I wanted to rest

So I gave myself permission to allow my breathing

To control itself

Not much to my surprise

I let go for but a moment,

And my chest

Did not rise

And my cheeks

Did not flush

But my hands

Did not qui-

-ver, and I

Felt no rush

But I

Rea-

-lized

If I

Let go

That’s it

The end

To die

Is

Bliss

But

I

Still

Live

For

The

Chance

To

Tell

You

Take a breath

Just one more

In the end

It’s worth it

And some days

Just to breathe

Is difficult, but without you

This world is, in fact, incomplete

And the bravest thing you could ever be

Is Here.

This is really different from all other poems which you’ve written. It has become my favorite now 😃😃✨ I liked the idea as well. The bravest thing ✨ really appreciated a lot!
