Heaven Must Have a Sea

I cast myself into the sea

So to give into my heart’s Call

Cold and gasping, I cease to be

Yet in that moment, have it all

If I live, ne’er forget to breathe

Breathe in, this life’s memorial

I shan’t taste another so sweet

Not love’s kiss, passion conflagral

I hear the epoch melody

Proclaiming Heaven’s altar call

But if it’s un-sundered, un-breached

By firth or mull, I’ll spurn it all
