Living in an apocryphal state

Am I alive or do I lie in wait

For fortune to smile upon me

Then turn dreams to reality

And what should I say if it is true

I’m half alive, or simply in pursuit

Of a life that makes me feel alive

Is this not the same place in which most men die?
