Artful Presence

Take the hand of the wise man

Let him lead the way

The burrs and shards won’t pierce his feet

His soles trained for this day

Speak the words that he once said

Not another more

Add only new understanding

With silent underscore

Hear the tones within his voice

Hum them to yourself

Arpeggios and melodies

His song adds to the wealth

 

Smell a flower from the field

See the bee depart

Learn from them all that you can

Sing in tune with the art
