A Clever Rhyme

I drag along my mind this morning
Yet my soul still hums a merry tune
All my thoughts are dull and boring
But my heart swells up like a balloon
Though the lights are still kept dim
An attempt to delay the coming day
Behind my eyes, there’s light and vim
And in my hands, coffee

Because I can’t even think of a clever rhyme for “day”
