Writing the Beast

Broad-shouldered beasts

Against a downtrodden me

In pride, bear their teeth

Blinding my tenacity

 

Slouching, I come to greet

In worn shoes from dragged feet

With a sigh, I take my seat

The pen my weapon, these words my feat

 

You have no idea what it took to lay these words for all to see…
