Starlit Anarchy

The whispers of dawn de-throne streetlights

Who they themselves committed mutiny in an outcry

What other reason does the dark need for corruption

Except that it was led by a false light, a half-light

But now the half-light has had its anarchy

The darkness, its unwholesome frivolity and revelry

So I say to the sunrise: reveal me and burn my cloak

I shall wither and be singed, every piece of me that clings to shadows

Oh Dawn, show me for all that I am

Whether a mountainside of violets and primroses

Or a grain of jagged sand

Dawn, reveal the Real inside and leave me with no hint of silhouette or shade

  1. “So I say to the sunrise: reveal me and burn my cloak” oh lovely! I loved it sooo much. It makes me think of my creation “seize the day”.
