Alice Will Join Me

Though the sky may not be the proper shade of blue

And the grass may all seem dead beneath my heavy heels

And mayhaps not a single eye will meet mine all the day long

And all the fantastical things will remain in my mind

Even then

Everything that I see is me

So I paint the sky

Water the grass

Make a fool of myself

And believe someday

Alice will join me for tea
