Standing Next to Her

Nostalgia is such beautiful medicine

Curing wanton joy in the face of lost friends

Curing sadness in the hope of doing it all over again

Curing numbness in a wonderful scene

Curing loneliness knowing my Love now fills the void

And all I see in photographs from years ago

Is a chance to go back and retake every picture

Standing next to her
