A Twilight Wish

A pang digs deep into my chest

To dig out feelings I repress

I long for your tender embrace

Enveloped in this infinite space

You and I whisk ‘round like vapor

Though like the stars, Love never wavers

Yet here I am, nonetheless

Feeling my cold loneliness

That’s what I get for knowing your touch

Four in the morning, your cheek I brush

But tonight is spent not at your side

Restless and wishing you were my bride
