Edge of Feign

When was the last time

That you picked a leaf

Studied its edges

Traced its veins

Write line after line

And you’ll be like me

Not seeing sedges

For the green

I try to find rhymes

So pleasant to read

Ignoring ledges

And their teeth

When was the last time

That you picked a leaf

Fell in the hedges

As your mind fledges

Just to find edges

Verity:

Edge of feign

    1. Aww thank you so much 🙂 I really appreciate that! It’s funny because it was written out of a place where I felt my whimsy slipping and wanted to use writing as a way to get back into it, so I’m glad it had that effect on you, too!
