The Wood of Your Many Thoughts

Walk the road through the haze in your mind
The one that likes to twirl, twist, and serpentine
The one that makes sense of nonsense, sometimes
The one that worries and cares cannot find

Wander in the Wood of Your Many Thoughts
The ones vaguely familiar, “ah-ha” when crossed
Some stand in shadows, shallowly embossed
Blink and you’ll miss them, search and they’re lost

This road and these woods, they want you, my friend
Some were once things on which your life did depend
Or so you once thought, but once your life turns a bend
You wander fresh roads…
And behind you, the woods grow again and again
