Land Beyond the Fray

This bleak and dreary valley has such little else to say
The fog and clouds do roll, the grasses lean and sway
Sometimes frightful vagabonds will come along this way
But they soon depart with no reason more to stay

It’s frightful how this barren place can lead one to dismay
There is such peace in loneliness, so placid in the gray
A freedom can be found with two feet allowed to stray
All the air devoid of voice, the land beyond the fray
