Conflagrant Cascade

With something stuck in my chest
Coughed up a lung
But still wasn’t impressed
So I poured out my heart
On a blank, hopeful page
The words came like fire
In a conflagrant cascade
That led to a dream,
Funny enough
Some call it whimsy
Or just childish stuff
But I saw a stage
A movie, a scene
It started with a cough
And turned into a dream
