A Moment of Sojourn

I have walked so very far from where I started
Even just from yesterday to today
When I grabbed my things and departed
I thought I’d come home and everything would be the same
But it’s not, and that seems obvious now
The grass has grown a fraction of a noticeable height
Now this is my impetus to slow down
So I don’t miss the little things that I otherwise might
