With Altitude

I stand over my shadow
Waving a somber good-bye
My feet now slowly lifting
The height continues to pry

Gloated about this moment
From morning until noontime
Bittersweet realities
But I’ll miss that friend of mine

Onward and upward, they say
Forward is the best progress
Grateful for the memories
With altitude, I quiesce

Enjoy my writing? Buy me a coffee 🙂
