Short is the Day

Short is the day that passes by, unnoticed
Unending is the moment of a Lover’s glance
Brothers for whom loyalty is fiercest
Are friends forged by divine happenstance

And so I sit, dumbstruck and rude
Steeped in Love, and moments, and peace
Time is ancient and time is crude
Long shall he live, long after I cease
