Muttered Memory

It certainly seems the season
For muted colors and muttered memory
The vague acquaintance of pleasantries
Excitement of forgotten reason

But don’t listen to the addled man
Who attempts to censor celebration
Give no reserve to your elation
For it simply won’t be the same ever again
