Above the Unknown

I never quite know what I’m supposed to say
As I’m falling in love with the sun and the rain
Some people call this living, say it’s day by day
But if you look close enough, no two are the same

Some people say it’s into love you fall
And some say it’s a safeguard, a protective wall
But it’s more like building towers, brick by brick, strong and tall
Until, above the unknown, you transcend it all

And mayhaps that’s why the day isn’t the same for me
I have climbed my tower, love has set me free
