Room Full of Voices

There was once a time
When my mind was more still
Scary to think somewhere down the line
It became a raucous mill
Now the sound of distant screams
Attack me from every side
Each voice may be me
But I don’t always recognize
So when I need a moment of peace
I find it hard to concentrate
Because silence is only one point, one seat
In a room full of voices that scream my name
