At the end of the day
When we’ve given all we could
And the only thing left to do is close or eyes
And hope our body lasts us until tomorrow
We allow ourselves to pass into the great unknown, peacefully
And so, when the day begins
The sun streams through the curtains
To warm your cheek with incessant kisses
Thanks is in order, a gratefulness
That you might take the new day’s strength, expend it, and know peace once more
Enjoy my writing? Buy me a coffee 🙂
